All of our products use considerably less energy than inefficient lighting sources such as halogens (about 1/7th).

 

As well as this, they have a life expectancy of up to 50,000 hours which is 25-50 times longer than some standard sources - so think about the decrease in waste, as well as the decrease in number of bulbs having to be shipped around the world.

 

Our products are also far more robust than any equivalent light sources and will not release hazardous materials if broken, unlike compact fluorescents for example.

 

In addition, in the unlikely event that one of our products does go wrong, it can be repaired rather than having to be thrown away.

 

Here is an example of possible environmental benefits:

 

According to official figures for 2005, the Drax power station in Yorkshire produced 20 million tonnes of CO2, which is nearly a quarter of the total amount emitted by cars in Britain.

 

If we could convert 100 million standard halogen bulbs in the UK to our LED bulbs we could technically close that power station down.

 

That’s what we call a contribution to saving the planet.
